RMM Opportunities
The Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band program which includes Introduction to Music (ages 6-7), Beginner Instruments (ages 8-15) plus Grades 3 & 4 pipe bands returns to Simon Fraser University for the start of 2010-2011 season on Tuesday September 21, 2010 at 7:00pm.
Those interested in becoming a member of the former four time World Juvenile Pipe Band (now competing at the Grade 3 band level with adult players) or starting in the Introduction or Beginner Instrument programs are invited to contact

White Spot and NW Junior Pipe band merge for combined Gr3 Competition Band
NORTHWEST JUNIOR/WHITE SPOT UNITED PIPE BAND
The Northwest Junior Pipe Band and the White Spot Pipe Band, two top youth bagpipe bands from Washington, USA and British Columbia, Canada, are excited to announce a joint project for the 2011 season – a combined Grade 3 competition Band, created from the best players of both bands.

Greighlan Crossing Tour of China
Greighlan Crossing Pipe Band

The Greighlan Crossing Pipe Band (GCPB), www.greighlancrossing.com from Vancouver BC, has been invited by the Government of Beijing Municipality and the China National Tourism Administration to perform at the 12th Beijing International Cultural Tourism Festival. The Band will be leaving on September 15th for the 8 day tour with 31 people including highland dancers.

BCPA Members at the Worlds
Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band placed 12th in the Grade 1 final after placing 6th of 18 bands in the morning qualifying round.
New Westminster Police finished just off the prize list in 7th place in Grade 2 after having won their qualifier in the morning.
Also, Jason Paguio of SFU was the winner of the adult Drum Major competition.
The BCPA wishes to congratulate all the Bands that competed in this years Worlds for the successes they achieved.
