British Columbia piper Alan Walters, a well-known and loved piper, teacher, composer and piobaireachd expert passed away at his home in Surrey this week. Alan’s recognizable phone message about his adventures in “golfing, piping, curling or fishing” summed up his philosophy to enjoy life and good friends, which he had plenty of all over the globe.

Alan had been suffering from poor health the past few years. Details are few and his family in Alberta are dealing with their loss and will have more details in a week.
