BCPA is proud to present our 1st Annual Ceilidh, Saturday, April 20th at the Cloverdale Catholic Hall.

We’ve heard from our members time and time again that they would love to see a social event like they had in the past, an event where everyone can come and enjoy an evening of fun, an event where young and old can come together. We’ve listened to your requests and our newly formed Youth Committee has been working hard to bring this evening to fruition. We are proud to announce this Annual Ceilidh on April 20, 2024.

This event is sure to be the social event of the calendar, an atmosphere to relax, socialize, with old friends and new, while enjoying the Celtic folk music of Blackthorn.

Blackthorn’s extensive repertoire is rooted in the musical traditions of Scotland and Ireland as well as the folk music of English and French Canada. Their repertoire has expanded to include creative original compositions that reflect the influences of these traditions. From lively jigs and reels, to songs with rousing choruses and heart-wrenching airs and ballads, they bring the music to life with their luscious harmonies and complex instrumentation.

There will be some fun Ceilidh dancing with Blackthorn and some surprise performances throughout the evening, highlighting some of our up and coming youth of our piping and drumming community along with the highland dance community.

This event is for EVERYONE! All lovers of  the Scottish community from piping, drumming, highland dancing and beyond.

Refreshments alcoholic, non alcoholic, pizza and snacks will be available for purchase.

So don’t delay and get your ticket today and join in on the fun of our 1st  BCPA Ceilidh.

The hall is located at the back of the Cloverdale Catholic property and there is free parking available on site. Address: 17475 59 Ave, Surrey, BC
