Attention Pipe Major or Band Manager:
The Monterey Games Committee is organizing the 32nd Annual Scottish/Irish Festival and Highland Games. The Games will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 24th & 25th 1999 at the Monterey Fairgrounds.
We will offer band competitions, Saturday (The Medley) and Sunday (The MSR). Prize money schedule for each contest is as follows:

Mar 14/99 - BCPA Knock-Outs Finals:
Following the Annual Dinner of the BC Pipers' Association last night, James MacHattie of the SFU Pipe Band won his first BC Pipers Knockout Final Saturday night besting Alan Bevan (second place), Graham Davidson and Alan Walters in front of a crowd of over 270 people. In addition to the Davey Moore Memorial trophy, James won a trip to compete in a major Ontario competition.
Andre Tessier, also of SFU, won the Drumming Knockout Final over Gregor Merry.
