(08-15-98): WUSPBA to post contest results:
The WUSPBA has announced new plans to post results from their contests on their web pages. This is good news - official sources for this type of information are usually the best.
The intent of this Western Piping News web page is not to compete with other information sources that are available on the web, or to compete with the WUSPBA - I happen to like the organization, and I think it is important to support it.
These Western Piping News web pages will continue be a source for Western piping results - I will post contest result information (WUSPBA, BCPA, ??) when the information is received, and there will be links to contest result information that is available from other sources.

(08-03-98): Introducing the Western Piping News and Results web pages
This web page is a relocation and an expansion of my previous WUSPBA News web pages. With that web page I had been tracking WUSPBA contest results, WUSPBA / bagpiping news, and I even wrote a few 'event reviews' from a WUSPBA member's perspective. I've dropped all the 'old news', but I've kept contest results and some reviews.
I decided last month that it did not make sense to continue with my WUSPBA News page, and I believe most WUSPBA readers are well aware of the reasons for this. As my WUSPBA friends know, I have enjoyed doing the web page, and I would like to continue this web page effort.
A change I plan to make is to track and post contest results from all of the West. (BCPA, WUSPBA and ?)
If you have news, results, or a review from piping events or contests in the west, please share. I'll give credit to the source, and I'll post the information for everyone.
Bob
