Dani Warren is a Director with the BCPA and the chair for the Social Events Committee. Dani began piping in 2004 with the 177 Air Canada Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron located at Minto Armouries in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Dani continued piping with the Squadron through her youth eventually moving to the west coast in 2010, aging out of the Air Cadet program as a Warrant Officer First Class in 2011. Shortly after moving to BC in 2010, Dani joined the Crescent Beach Pipe Band, a local Grade 4 band that was located in White Rock, BC. She played and competed with the band for two seasons. In September 2012 Dani joined the Robert Malcolm Memorial (RMM) pipe band and after a few weeks with the Grade 4 band, was moved to the Grade 2 band. Dani played with the RMM Grade 2 band until 2022 when the band folded. Today, Dani is an active playing member of the Greighlan Crossing Pipe Band.
Dani enjoys teaching and has taught with the Robert Malcolm Memorial beginner piping program, the Cedar Hills Caledonia Pipe Band located in Surrey, BC, and the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program at both the squadron and summer camp level as a Civilian Instructor.
Dani is the first in her family to play the pipes and be a part of a pipe band. She is Indigenous Cree on her mothers side, and English and Danish on her fathers. When not involved with piping, Dani sells carbon offsets on behalf of Indigenous Nations in British Columbia.
