As part of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association’s new eight-contest Champion of Champions League, the British Columbia Pipers Association is pleased to release details of the RSPBA Pacific Rim Drumming Championship.

The competition, presented by the British Columbia Pipers’ Association will be on March 8, 2025  in Burnaby, BC. The prestigious event will be presented by the British Columbia Pipers’ Association and hosted at Simon Fraser University at their Burnaby Campus, 8888 University Drive.

Doors open at 9:00 AM, with the first competition at 11:00 AM. The Pacific Rim Adult Snare Drumming Competition begins at 4:00 PM

This event offers North American drummers an opportunity to qualify for the World Solo Drumming Championship semifinal in Glasgow, Scotland in October. The winner of the event will win the J.Reid Maxwell Medal, styled with an orange ribbon as a tip of the hat to Maxwell’s signature orange ball cap. The top six places secure points towards the 2025 RSPBA Adult World Solo Snare Drumming Champion of Champion title.
