The Boney Music Memorial Invitational is an annual piping competition and recital initiated in 2016 by BCPA Life Member Andrew Bonar and has continued for ten years! At Andrew’s request, the British Columbia Pipers’ Association continues this prestigious event and raises funds for brain cancer research with the B.C. Cancer Foundation. Friends and family near and far are honoured to carry on and support Andrew’s legacy. In addition, funds are also raised for the Boney Music Fund to help support this special evening. Donation links will remain open for the next two weeks. All donations made over $20 will receive a tax deductible receipt. Thank you for your generous support. Funds raised for brain cancer research is $7,500 and $1,800 towards the Boney Music Fund!
Boney Music Memorial Invitational 2026 – BC Cancer Foundation
Thank you to Kate Bonar, Evan and Lauren Jamieson (Andrew’s nephew and niece) for their wonderful recital performances that started the evening off. The evening featured the top five Open pipers from the BC Pipers’ Association 2025 Grand Aggregate standings. There were five wonderful, creative, and musical performances by Alastair Lee, Cameron Bonar, Craig Sutherland, Zephan Knichel, and Callum Bevan.
