We calculated aggregate rules in two different manners. In all cases we assign a value to the placing up to six places in each competition. 1st place gets 88 points, 2nd place gets 56 points, 3rd place gets 38 points, 4th place gets 25 points, 5th place gets 16 points, and 6th place gets 10 points.

Games Day Aggregate Calculation

For calculating the aggregate on the day of an event, these points are calculated for all six places no matter how many play. To calculate the aggregate winners on the day of the games the multiple events are added together.

• Example 1 – A total of 7 in the first event, 8 players in the second and 12 in the 3rd events. The first person places 1st, 2nd and 3rd they would get 88+56+38 points a total of 182. The second person places 2nd, 4th and 1st. They would get 56+25+88 points a total of 169
• Example 2 – A total of 3 players in the first event and 4 in the second and third events. The first person places 1st, 3rd and 4th. They would get 88+38+25 points a total of 151. The second person places 2nd, 2nd and 3rd. They would get 56+56+38 points a total of 150

The results on the day of the event would be a win by the first person in each of these examples.

Season Aggregate Calculations

The rules for calculation of the season’s grand aggregate is different in a number of way. Points are only calculated for one less than those that played. If 1 plays points are accrued, if 2 play the first gets points, if 3 play the first 2 get points, if 4 play the first 3 get points, if 5 play the first 4 get points, if 6 play the first 5 get points and if more than 6 play the first six get points. In addition there are added points for each person you place in ahead of in the placings.

• Example 1 – A total of 7 in the first event, 8 players in the second and 12 in the 3rd events. The first person places 1st, 2nd and 3rd. For the first place they would get 88+6 (94), for the 2nd they would get 56+6 (62), and for the 3rd they would get 38+9 (47). Total points would be 203. The second person places 2nd, 4th and 1st. For the 2nd they would get 56+6 (62), for the 4th they would get 25+4 (29) for the 1st they would get 88+11 (99). The total point would be 190.
• Example 2 – A total of 3 players in the first event and 4 in the second and third events. The first person places 1st, 3rd and 4th. The 1st place would get them 88+2 (90), the 3rd place would give them 0 points and the 4th would give them 0 points. Total points would be 90. The second person places 2nd, 2nd and 3rd. The first event 2nd place would give them 56+1 (57), the second event 2nd would give them 56+2 (58) and the 3rd place would give them 38+1. The total points would be 154

This shows clearly that there can be a large difference between points calculated for the grand aggregate versus the daily aggregate.

Super Aggregate for Fall Mini, Winter Mini and Annual Gathering

Currently the aggregate calculation for the super aggregate travel prizes awarded at the Annual Gathering are calculated using the games aggregate calculation. The total points without any additional points are calculated for each mini and the annual gathering. The total of all three games are added together. No additional points are calculated for number of people beaten in the event.
