Mini Gatherings
There are two Mini-Gatherings for 2011/12: November 12, 2011 and February 11, 2012. Competitors will play two events on each day.
These changes were made to increase the number of competitors, improve the integration with the Knockouts, improve convenience for parents and competitors, while maintaining the purpose of the Mini-Gatherings: To provide amateur players with regular opportunities to test the preparedness of their new competition tunes for the outdoor season.
In general, the November 2011 Mini-Gathering includes the core events offered in the November and December 2010 Mini-Gatherings. The February 2012 Mini-Gathering includes the core events offered in the January and February 2011 Mini-Gatherings. The exceptions to this pattern are:
- The 4/4 March event for Grade 4 Side Drumming and Grade 2 Tenor Drumming has been discontinued. A 6/8 March event is offered in its place
- The March, Strathspey & Reel event for Grade 3 Side Drumming has been eliminated. A 2/4 March event is offered in its place.
Please carefully read the entry form for rules and music requirements
